    Mariam is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and trusting therapeutic space where clients feel truly seen, celebrated, and respected. She works collaboratively with clients to explore their personal experiences and integrates cultural nuance throughout the therapeutic process. Grounded in respect for individual narratives, her approach emphasizes empowerment, authenticity, and the importance of identity in one’s healing journey.

    As a Pakistani Muslim therapist from New York City, Mariam is deeply committed to increasing representation within the mental health field and providing culturally responsive care. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic Therapy through an intersectional and relational lens, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs. Mariam holds an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology from Baruch College, City University of New York. Her goal is to co-create a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can deepen self-understanding and move toward meaningful healing and empowerment.
