    He/him/his

Khalil is a Black, inner-city, male clinician who hails from the Bronx, who seeks to provide inclusive, mindful, and compassionate therapy for historically marginalized populations. Khalil believes that all forms of therapeutic healing stem from the alliance which is tended by the curiosity of the practitioner in the client’s journey. To ensure this, his approach centers compassion, self-inquiry, and acceptance and works to accentuate the existing strengths of his clients to recognize the sources of their demoralization in life and how to live theirs in alignment with their values.

Khalil holds an M.A in Mental Health Counseling and a B.A in Psychology from the City College of New York. He works through an anti-oppressive and intersectional lens, weaving relational psychodynamic, systems-oriented, and humanistic approaches while mindfully weaving cognitive-behavioral and emotion-focused therapy techniques into his practice in hopes of developing an interpretation of a client’s story while also structuring collaborative goals for the client to move towards during sessions. He draws on his experience working with diverse clients from BIPOC, QTPOC, gender-expansive, and inner-city communities, and is confident in creating a safe, attentive, and culturally responsive space for his clients. Above all, his desire is to hold space and position himself as a resource for marginalized clients as they resiliently navigate life.
